Pronanolol for anxiety

Hi everyone, first time posting in this topic.

Just last night I was prescribed sertraline and pronanolol for anxiety and depression - the latter for my heart feeling like its racing and tightness in my chest.

I'm taking it as instructed but it's taking my resting heart rate down to 42-45 bpm - is this OK? Everything I'm reading online says anything below 60 is bad unless you're super fit (I'm definitely not!)

I feel fine in myself, if tired - although I only slept 3 hours last night which may be why!

Thanks for any advice you can give 🙂

Hi OP what dose are you on? Sometimes they prescribe a higher dose to start with like 160mg modified release per day which works well to treat the anxiety symptoms but is unnecessary as lower doses are equally as effective. If you are on a higher dose you could ask the GP to decrease it? I would mention the low heart rate to your GP too because of its consistently that low it might not agree with you.
