Extreme work pressure…

I’ve always loved my job but for the last few years I’ve struggled with our Manager. She is known to like her own way with everything and it’s said she enjoys the power she can exert. I know she will never leave but I’m finding her unbearable. She is currently in the middle of altering job roles apparently in line with the grade. It’s all a load of rubbish because we are so overwhelmed with work as it is without adding more pressure.

Im seriously considering taking sick leave but feel scared this will go against me. Has anyone done this, how did it go, is it worth it?

Why not get yourself a better job? Or telling her that you can't cope with the workload. Or talking to someone in HR. One or more of those.

Obviously you should go on sick leave if you are unfit to work however that won’t solve the situation long term. So I agree with the previous poster that you should speak to someone in HR or find another job.
