switch from prozep (prozac liquid) to mirtazapine- with ultimate goal of no medications!

i'm struggling on liquid prozac- seemed to be stable on capsules but needed to be on liquid as easier to reduce dose accurately, which i'm doing periodically.

supposedly i'm on the same dose of liquid as my most recent capsule dose but feel utterly awful, been here many a bloody time- it's withdrawal

can't go back on capsules as dose too large (no 10mgs available) and am now having a total rethink and wondering about mirtazapine

can you tell me your experiences on it? is there any mileage in my swapping from prozac to mirtazapine

just feel that prozac's pooped out maybe?!! or maybe it's the liquid form that's not right but i'm so tired and shabby and sick of all this that the prospect of something completely different is enticing

but ultimately i do desperately want to get off medication and am i just prolonging this by possibly trying mirtazapine

my sleep is awful so that's partly why it appeals aside it's antidepressant properties

i have been coming off antideps over the course of about 4 years!! with breaks of course, but i have to be so cautious. i was on 225mg venlafaxine and it's been so difficult to get to low dose prozac- i dont want to throw all my hard "work" (feeling shite!) away but i feel so awful at the moment.

thanks for any thoughts/info

just to add- i'm also interested in how hard it is to get off mirtazapine as this would be my goal- is it any worse than ssris or much the same
