Honestly at the point where everyone would be better without me
Friends would get over me, I already feel ducking invisible
My cat loves my parents so wouldn't notice
Work would replace me and move on

Why can't something happen to me to take this out my hands, I can't act on my thoughts but I don't want to be here more than anything else

Lovie, your death would be devastating to your parents, your friends and your colleagues. They would be so angry with themselves for not seeing how unhappy you are and would blame themselves (and each other) for months, if not years. Why not reach out to someone and tell them how you're feeling? The Samaritans are there for you or just keep posting on here.

And the cat will miss you.

Because everyone will be so disappointed
Friends won't understand at all
Family will be upset I'm back where I was a few years ago
I'm just hoping I don't wake up

Would YOU be disappointed if a friend or colleague or family member reached out to you for help? Or would you be grateful that they took that brave step?

If you feel you can't talk to them then speak to you GP.

What's caused you to feel like this?

Catterpillarwithconverse · 02/01/2023 22:12

You won't always feel like this. Things can get better.
How would you like your life to be for it to be worth living? What tiny miniscule step can you make towards creating that?

Givenup2023 · 02/01/2023 22:14

Things won't get better. I tell myself every year they will and I'm wrong
There's nothing about me I like

Before you decide on anything, please see your GP or contact your local mental health team. Please do that tomorrow. Or go to A&E tonight if you get very desperate.

There are medications and therapies available to help you. I know this from real and personal experience.

Please don't do anything impulsive. Your death will devastate many more people than you can imagine. And you can and will put this horrific phase behind you.

Please hold on until then.

HeBeaverandSheBeaver · 02/01/2023 22:18

Please ring mind or childlike or the Samaritans.

They are people that can help.

You are loved. There is help for you People are willing to give it to you.

Child line

Givenup2023 · 02/01/2023 22:24

I won't do anything, I'm too scared it wouldn't work and everyone would turn against me.

I just want something to happen to me, I feel guilty that people are so unwell etc when they have everything to live for. If I could I would take that off them

You sound like you are severely depressed and in mental turmoil, you poor thing! In my opinion and experience, mental illness can be far worse than physical illness.

Please take this seriously and tell your GP exactly what you're thinking. You and your illness are not insignificant. It's vital that you see somebody who can help you. Please.

Summer2424 · 02/01/2023 22:31

@Givenup2023 sorry you're feeling this way 😔 please don't give up on life, the world needs you x
I hope the supportive comments in this thread will give you the strength you need to get through this time.

HeBeaverandSheBeaver · 02/01/2023 22:35

You sound very low.

Please do something positive to quell your mind. Breathing while listen to music or a soothing white noise.

Find your lovely cat and stroke him.

But do get some help or open up to your parent sibling a friend or relative. Xxx

Givenup2023 · 02/01/2023 22:41

No one needs me 😔
There's no one to talk to, everyone is asleep

Are you alone OP or are you with others in the house?

If you are feeling like this - wake someone up - now.

Namaste6 · 02/01/2023 22:52

And someone always needs you.

There's others on the house but I can't. They've got to be up for work really early and I can't wake them up. I can't deal with that guilt on top x

Work will wait. There is no employer on the face of this earth that would not understand a drastic situation.

Wake someone up. Sit them down and talk to them. Really talk. If they love you and care for you, they will listen.

HeBeaverandSheBeaver · 03/01/2023 14:41

How are you today @Givenup2023

HoopersHat · 03/01/2023 14:45
