I recently found out I have borderline personality disorder (bpd) any parents have experience with this? I'm terrified it will effect my kids.

BPD isn’t treated with medication it’s through therapy such as DBT. Once you have a diagnosis you should be able to access this. There are books that you can use to make a start if there’s a wait although it’s more effective as a group. Look up Kati Morton on YouTube who is very positive about bpd. Also bpd can be diagnosed in error instead of adhd or ptsd don’t let the stigma of a diagnosis let you think that you can’t succeed

Hey, I'm still awaiting my final diagnosis but I started with my GP and explained that I thought something like this was going on. Then I was referred to a mental health team for my initial assessment then that nurse referred me onto the secondary care department where I've had my secondary assessment and now we're just awaiting my final assessment with a mental health doctor for a final assessment and hopefully a diagnosis. Hope this helps ❤️

Thank you, I wasn't sure if the NHS would/ could diagnose this type of thing
