Evening..
My father is currently a voluntary inpatient within a mental health unit for older people (he's 74). He has depression and severe anxiety and has been on the ward since the start of October this year. He had his first half hour home visit with a member of staff last week, and I took him for a home visit this week and he managed a couple of hours at home. I then get a phonecall today from a mental health nurse on the ward saying that they've told my dad he needs to do a an overnight home visit Fri to Sun, so 2 nights 2 days at home, this weekend and they've asked me to sort this out.
To be honest I'm a bit angry.. 2 very short home visits and now a full weekend. Am I wrong to think that this is way too hasty? Too much too soon?
I'd really appreciate your thoughts on this x
