Applied for PIP because of my mental health - will social services be notified?

Hi everyone, I will keep this short.
my absolute worst nightmare is someone taking my baby (1yrs) away.

I have suffered from mental health problems since about 16 years old and diagnosed with Anxiety, borderline personality disorder and adhd at 19 years old. I am now 23, a single and homeless mum with a baby. By homeless I mean hotel stays provided by local council.

My mental health issues have risen due to my current circumstances (having a baby, single mum, homeless for 7 months, lack of finances, etc).

I am worried that filling in a PIP form about what my mental health does to me might make me an unfit mother and take my baby away or something. I am on anti-depressants but I am not suicidal. I just have severe anxiety and find it hard to deal with stress and have been neglecting my own needs to fulfil my baby’s needs.

Should I continue filling in the PIP form?

Thanks in advance!

I’m on PIP with lots of mental health involvement and support through nhs and have 3 happy kiddies, social work have never been notified or involved. As long as you’re being sure to keep ontop of your mental health as best you can and there’s zero signs of neglect with your children you have nothing to worry about. No one would remove your children if they are happy clean and fed. Be kind to yourself op 💕

Socialist worker here. I’ve never seen. Referral from a PIP assessor. Just keep accepting all the support going and do your best. Good luck!

I have been diagnosed with BPD , anxiety and OCP . In the past I saw the crisis team on a regular basis . Social services were never informed and I was always assured that it would not be in my son’s best interests . He has always been well looked after and wherever possible children should be with their mums . You are seeking help are self aware and looking after your little one with the cards dealt to you . No one can ask for more. Good luck and take care . I name changed for this but if you have questions about my experience pm me x
