My daughter is experiencing an episode of psychosis for the first time. I realise we are at the beginning of a long road, and I’m so worried about her future. Any experience or positive outcomes appreciated.

Hi there I've been having psychotic episodes as part of bipolar disorder for nearly a decade. I'm now mid 20's I've been to uni, got a professional job, a mortgage, husband, daughter. Myself and the people around me are really good at knowing now, what the start of a relapse looks like and I'm generally very well
are you getting support either by CAMHS or early intervention?

@Isahlo Thanks so much for taking the time. I’m so glad that you’re so well! I’ve read tons about it, but I was desperate for peoples lived experiences. Daughter had such plans for her future, and I just don’t know if this marks the end of all that she wanted.

Home Treatment Team have been visiting her this weekend and we are waiting to see their medic. She has an appt with Early Intervention next Monday. H Treatment Team asked GP if he would prescribe for her on Friday but he wasn’t happy to, and just gave her some Diazepam to get her through the weekend, I guess. That’s had mixed effect.

Would you mind sharing some insight into meds?
