How long do you think it would take to drown in a bath?

I mean, if you went on your hands and knees and put your face in the water, and held your breath for as long as you could. Then you'd black out and go under the water...

i should go to bed...

Sorry I have to go to bed soon, but didn't want to read & not reply.

do you have anyone with you?

GooseyLoosey · 29/01/2008 23:59

Go to bed - stop thinking about this!

cali · 29/01/2008 23:59

please let us know you are ok!!!

madamez · 30/01/2008 00:01

It's not possible to drown yourself like that. Trust me, it's not. And trying is cold, wet and deeply undignified. IS there someone there you can talk to? If not, phone either the samaritans or a good friend.

Do you want to talk about it? Understand if you dont!

I'm up nursing a cold sore, so chat away if your up to it x

GooseyLoosey · 30/01/2008 00:06

Please talk to us if you need to but it might be more helpful to you to actually have a voice talking to you rather than just words on a page.

S1ur · 30/01/2008 00:07

Samaritans

I think?

Wotz · 30/01/2008 00:07

I have just searched and seen an earlier post of yours.
You really do have a lot to deal with IMHO.
Appears you are still suffering from depression. Sorry.

babybuttercup · 30/01/2008 00:08

I will be up for a while if you want to talk?

SnappyLaGore · 30/01/2008 00:12

namechanger - have been there myself. just keep breathing... thats all... hold on. tune out if need be, but just let time pass. everything changes eventually.

OverRated · 30/01/2008 00:15

If you're wondering, you really should talk to someone who can help you more than we can. I haven't seen your previous posts but am sure you are under a lot of stress. DO you have any support in RL?

littlemissnobody · 30/01/2008 00:17

I've been there too - it's so hard in the moment but try to remind yourself that you won't always feel this way. It will pass.

babybuttercup · 30/01/2008 00:22

Namechangernotatroll are you still here? I hope you are on the phone to Samaritans or a friend? I do think that sometimes it is best to talk to soemone or write your feelings down when you are feeling this way as a sort of release. I know it helped me to write my feelings down as i couldnt talk to people face to face but you will find your own ways of dealing with it and getting yourself through each day

OverRated · 30/01/2008 00:37

You seem to have disappeared so hope you are ok

PenelopePitstops · 30/01/2008 04:03

nmechanged are you around? hope yourre ok

NameChangerNotATroll · 30/01/2008 07:52

sorry, i shouldn't have posted this.

everything is shit at the moment, i don't have anyone to turn to. my mum abandoned me today, which is why i'm feeling particularly bad.

got to go as ds is awake. thanks for being here.

NameChangerNotATroll · 30/01/2008 07:55

hi - i tried to post that last night but my internet died for some reason. things always look better in the morning. the darkest hour is before the dawn and all that.

i'm ok, really. i need to get to my GP and discuss cognitive counselling i think, talk about coping mechanisms etc. i don't want to go back onto meds. thanks for all being here. i'm sorry to post such a stupid thing - a real cry for help but you made me see things more clearly so thank you.

OP posts:
Chopster · 30/01/2008 07:57

name changer, do go to the gp.

Why don't you want to take meds?

GooseyLoosey · 30/01/2008 07:59

Yes do go to your GP asap. Is there a reason that you don't want to take ADs? I refused after one lot didn't work and make me ill, but after another serious bout of depression, tried a new lot and they really have helped. Anyway, you get whatever help you need.
