Okay . So , iv noticed I keep re reading stuff . Weather it be a Facebook post iv put on. Or a text message. I'm constantly re reading Conversations , over and over again 🤦‍♀️ I'm not sure why I do it . I will be sat there for 20 mins re reading what iv already read !? So I googled it and ocd came up ! Is this even a thing !? I thought ocd was cleaning etc ? I can't exactly go docs and say I keep re reading things they will think I'm stupid ! Anyone else can inform me or anyone do this ?

I do have severe anxiety and depression if this helps . What is wrong with me .

Ocd has many different tendencies as I understand so presents differently. The doctors will not think your stupid it’s quite common. It could be too your depression or anxiety is bad and affecting your processing skills?

Hi OP, I've got OCD, and definitely not the kind that makes you tidy! If anything, it's made me messier, as I'm so busy with the obsessions and following compulsions that I have, that it's not left me with enough time to be really tidy.
I was a very neat and tidy child, and often wonder if I hadn't experienced trauma that led to my OCD, I'd be a much tidier person today. Funnily enough though, I am very clean. I see tidiness and cleanliness as different things.
OCD can be about obsessive neatness and/or cleanliness, but often isn't, and that's a common misconception.
OCD sufferers can become obsessed with anything, and it often changes. Compulsions, which generally follow the obsessions, vary too.
I don't know if you have OCD or not. But if you're distressed by the things you describe, I'd advise seeking professional advice. My OCD has largely gone untreated for years, and honestly it's as good as ruined my life. It's a terrible and utterly debilitating condition. I wouldn't wish it on a single soul.
You may not have OCD of course. It could be ADHD, or something else.
Whatever it is, I hope you find the help you need, and I wish you well x
