The magic of mushrooms

I've suffered from anxiety and depression for a long time. I've been researching magic mushrooms there is evidence that they have an immediate and lasting affect on anxiety symptoms. Does anyone here have any experience and anyone in South Wales know where they grow. Before anyone kicks off, I am fully aware that they are not legal but at this stage I am willing to give anything a go. No negative comments please.

I grow my own magic mushrooms. They really are remarkable and it has meant I can go drug free for my bipolar.

Thanks glasshole thats really encouraging. Yes I did see it on the BBC yesterday thats what makes me think it can't be that dangerous.

Have you even taken any hallucinogens before?

You can buy starter kits online if you want to grow your own. Never done it, plenty in the wild around here. Generally i look where sheep graze, not too much light etc so treelines in fields with sheep are good. Think its their poo that fertilises well or something.

PLEASE ignore this advice. You need to be an expert to pick wild mushrooms. There are plenty out there that can kill you.

I bought my spores from fb, a company/person called digimyc balagnome. But mucci spores are great as are spore buddies. They sell everything you need. I really enjoy taking magic mushrooms recreationally and the only ingredients in mine are organic millet or corn, water, coir and spores. That's it.

@glasshole I've just placed an order with mucci spores. It didn't allow me to pay though so I've emailed them. Thank you for the recommendation.

That's fantastic. My relative is bipolar and suffers terribly with depression. I microdose and have found it massively beneficial but have been reluctant to encourage my relative as I was under the impression that for bipolar it can make things worse, would you mind discussing how you started and doses etc?

Glas house there was a good documentary on prime called fantastic fungi. I'm not sure if it's still available, might be on YouTube. Very interesting about the chemicals in fungi. Quite few types of fungi, such as lions mane, also contain the same chemical, lions mane is sometimes sold in farm shops, you can also buy a grow your own kit, and it's legal. If you're off to pick your own shrooms, make sure you get the right ones...there is a similar looking fungi which can be very, very bad for your health particularly your kidneys.

I would like to try it too but haven't the slightest id where to get any here.

I've been microdosing, but I can't say I've noticed much of a difference. I'm also on venlafaxine which can reduce the effects of psilocybin apparently, so perhaps I need to up my dose.

My spores arrived! I've started them off, so excited to see what happens. I'll keep you all updated.

So a little update on the mushrooms. So far nothing. Not one has grown. So disappointed, I followed all the instructions, left in a warm dark place( in my wardrobe) and nothing has happened. Anyone know how long before they start to grow? Starting to think I might have got duds.

What technique are you using? Have you injected a spawn bag? Mine only started growing mycellium when I put them onto a reptile heat mat with a thermostat set at 26 degrees C.

Hi we got ours from Llangelynin it’s in wales, micro dosing is very good for anxiety

cultivating P. Cubensis isn't hard but it's also not like sprouting mung beans...

You need to follow what's called a PF Tek (there are better methods but this is the best for new cultivators).

Of course, I should reiterate that germinating hallucinogenic mushrooms is extremely illegal in the UK (on the same level as dealing heroin).
Foraging them in the wild is also highly illegal!

As for the reason, practicality and fairness of such a ban... Or the enforcement level of it... That's a topic for a different thread :)
