Sertraline 100mg alternative or stick with it?

Hi everyone
I’d been on sertraline 50mg for about 2 years following a challenging spell with my youngest DCs health. Things are still tricky and he’s undergoing further testing for serious medical conditions.
Last month my dose was increased to 100mg due to increased anxiety- particularly in the evening.
I’ve been on the new dose for around 4 weeks and I don’t feel any better yet. Evenings are still jittery and I’m not sleeping well.

Are there any alternatives to try? Or do I need to give the sertraline longer? Would mirtazepine be worth trying?

Thanks 🙂

Hi I don't have any advice, I'm into my third week of 100mg after 9 years of being on 50mg. I started feeling better the end of week 2 but had a massive panic attack that lasted 2 days. I phoned the drs yesterday for reassurance that this is normal and that I just need to give it time, I've got an emergency appointment today so hopefully I'll get some advice.

I know there are alternatives, but I'm just praying these work.
