DD got put under a s136 by the police yesterday evening. It lasts 24hrs.

We’re at a hospital A&E waiting for either a bed or safety suite, been here all night.

She is sleeping. I’m in the relatives room still awake, had no sleep.

I’m scared she’ll get medically sectioned by Drs and SW and have to go into a psychiatric ward.

And I’m scared she won’t get medically sectioned and we’ll be back in the same position with no progression.

sending a hand hold. It’s so hard to access my provision so hopefully whatever the results today you’ll have more ammo to push for help.

Thank you, much appreciated.
I should have said that DD is autistic and also has ADHD and an Anxiety Disorder.

She’s currently in the adult A&E because the paeds A&E ward at the hospital already has 4 CAMHS patients in and there was no room.

It has been a very difficult 14 or so hours.

Hi just sending best wishes. Right now she is safe and being taken good care of.

Try and eat and drink something.

What do you do to take care of you? I know it’s the last thing on your mind right now but looking to the future you have to prioritise your own MH as well or you have nothing left to give to help her.

ittakes2 · 01/11/2022 06:06

I am sorry it sounds very scary. Do you want to talk about it?

EHopes · 01/11/2022 06:09

It gets better.

I know, it's impossible right now to really relax as you have no idea what tomorrow will be like. If your child/ family will get the support you desperately need. If that support will feel like a positive or just more. It's hard.

What I know is that one day it will turn, you will have a plan and a relationship again.

Hopefully this is the worst night.

Do you have something to read or watch? What can be done to make this easier on you?

Thank you all Flowers

They’ve got her a side room in A&E with a toilet, so she can at least sleep. She has two police officers with her as the s136 is still in place.

I am now in an Uber on my way home for a few hours sleep or at least a shower before going back.

I will come back and talk about it later, as I think talking about it will help.

Oh, how worrying for you, but at least she is safe for now. Surely some action would be better than nothing? She clearly needs help.

Take care of yourself.
