Ashwagandha supplements?

Hi all,
Has anyone tried ashwagandha supplements/pills for easing anxiety? I bought some from Holland & Barrett but haven’t yet taken them! Any advice greatly appreciated.
Did you take one a day? In the morning or evening? Did you get side effects and did they subside after a while?

Thanks so much in advance! :-)

Hi just saw your post, I’ve had anxiety for a few years, mainly at work. We’re now trying to conceive and my period keeps arriving way too early, I’ve looked into it all and it’s due to a drop in progesterone that could be caused by cortisol (stress) blocking it. So I basically can’t get pregnant due to this constant anxiety at work. I’ve just started on it yesterday in the hope it will chill me out a bit, I also take propranolol although I’m finding it isn’t doing enough now

Hey, thanks for your reply. I’m sorry to hear that you are having trouble conceiving due to high cortisol. I also find daily walks and yoga helpful for lowering my cortisol levels. Please let me know how you find ashwagandha! :-)

Hi! Yes, I started to take ashwagandha few months ago due to my pms and it helped me massively, I have no more premenopausal rage or anxieties, I'm still tired and low energy before period but that's something I can deal with and it's only for a few days.
My life really improved, as I'm calmer and more patient.

My daughter takes it and the difference has been remarkable.
