Increasing sertraline

I've been on sertraline for a couple of years and felt fine. I've got a LOT going on in my life and my anxiety is currently sky high.
I can't eat, can't sleep, can't concentrate. I cry numerous times a day and can constantly feel my heart booming in my chest.
I'm on 100mg. I've increased and decreased before and doctors have been fine with this.
Should I go from 100mg to 125mg or straight up to 150mg? I can't remember what I did last time, but I'm at serious risk of being signed off from work if I don't sort it out, as I cannot function.
I'm in a daze of panic.

Nice online state it can be increased by 50mg. I'll probably put on even more weight, but anything's better than this horrendous life stopping anxiety.

I haven't taken sertraline so can't offer much practical advice, but I hope you get some respite from your anxiety. It's the worst. I would do a slow increase personally as I'm very sensitive to meds. Can you cut tabs in half to go to 112.5mg even? Just for a few days then up to 125mg? Hope you feel better soon.

Thank you so much. Anxiety is the worst. It's so debilitating. My poor kids are so neglected when I'm in a daze. They're clothed, bathed, fed and safe don't worry, but I just don't have the mental capacity to give them 100% of my attention like they deserve.
I'll try going up to 125mg tonight maybe.

sorry I can’t help. Im totally with you though. Im a teacher and my anxiety has definitely been caused by work. We’re trying to conceive just now, I phoned the doctor the other day as I’ve been on propranolol for a while and asked about starting sertraline. She said I would be best just sticking with my propranolol as she would usually encourage people to come off sertraline in pregnancy, although I’ve seen other reports saying it’s safe. She also said I can’t take propranolol in pregnancy either so I really don’t know what I’m going to do if I find out I’m pregnant. I can’t even function at work when on it so I have no clue how I would manage it without 😑 I think I will have no choice but to ask for a sick line then take very early mat leave and not go back after. If it was a broken arm you’d take sick leave easily so I don’t know why it’s taking so much for me to consider it when my mind is like this

Awful isn't it @Sparklythings1
I wouldn't wish anxiety on anyone. It's horrendous.
I've barely eaten today because I just can't stomach food. I'm exhausted from no sleep for days, I'm shaking constantly and I can practically hear my heart booming!
I have diazapam prescribed for times when I really can't cope, and I'm going to have one at bed time tonight and hope I feel more human in the morning. I don't think people appreciate how awful severe anxiety is unless they've had it.

Would it be so bad if you were signed off work for a bit? It's hard to address what is making you so anxious when you are trying to work and keep on top of lots of things. Do you need the diazepam to sleep or would it be better to take during the day to keep you calmer? I have lorazepam but I sleep OK so I use it during the morning when my anxiety is worst.
