Has anyone got any experience of this, particularly in the case of their male friends or partners? My OH self referred to a psychiatrist for ADHD diagnosis but it was inconclusive. Certainly there are some serious challenges and the poor guy is going to send himself into an early grave if he doesn't address his issues. Looking to hear if anyone knows of anyone who has done this kind of coaching and whether it has been useful in any way? Thanks

What sort of issues are causing problems?

Inability to prioritise tasks or confront tasks that don't come naturally so they get buried, which leads to anxiety and overall overwhelm; very easily distracted

Yes I know several people who have had coaching and it has really helped; and have a friend who is a coach who works with people (most are neurodivergent) to help them come up with “systems” or routines etc to help with whatever they are having difficulty with, and is very successful. Via zoom also so more accessible also.

cognitive remediation therapy. which helped with a lot of those skills.

I don't think it is widely available but you can google it and see if there is anything similar near you.

Does this date back to childhood? Was his mother or father disorganised, timid or fearful of making the wrong choice?

No not at all. Their household was pretty military in routine, organisation etc. Kind and without disorder.
