Sex and antidepressants

Why do I have to choose between a sex life or good mental health.
every single antidepressant I’ve been on ,stops my orgasm ,literally the next day after taking it .
lve tried about 10 different types .
is this just normal and my expectations are just to high ..
is everyone else just having crap sex so they can stay mentally well on the tablets .
can anyone recommend something that might be worth trying

We gave up on sex with my DH as he wouldn’t try viagra.

Really ,so it’s the same for men ..I’d not thought that .

I had the same with a few different ones - and after decided I couldn’t put up with that indefinitely. The GP suggested trying Venlafaxine instead and it was MUCH better for my libido and orgasm, but additionally seemed to treat my depression more effectively too. It has other drawbacks, mind, but if it’s not one you’ve tried maybe it could be worth considering?

I have actually got a months worth of that somewhere..it is one I tried ,but only took one tablet ,as it knocked me out ,I wasn’t with it at all on that ,not safe to drive ..but I only took one ,and I took it in the morning..maybe trying it at night might be worth a shot ,thanks xx
