I’ve been working closely with a counsellor for the last 2 months or so. A few things that have come out:

hyper vigilant person due to past traumas
low self worth
negative self talk constantly
very hard on myself (and therefore others)

has anyone any self help ideas?

im trying to do more for myself create a hobby and not be so judgemental it’s literally like have a devil on my shoulder

any books? Podcast

I listened to this programme about using Tetris to reduce the effects of negative thoughts.

I’m bad for ruminating and negative thoughts, I didn’t have much success with Tetris but now when I find myself thinking negatively I force myself to concentrate and mull over something totally unconnected with me, and it seems to be helping reduce the negative thinking.

Thank you! That’s really helpful. I’ve looked into the headspace app. It’s literally like having a little devil on one shoulder that never stops, about me and others. Exhausting.
