Yes I take it. My son has had Citralopam which he found just made him feel numb. I tried stopping but felt dreadful.

I was prescribed fluoxetine about a decade ago, for anxiety / mild OCD. It helped me so much, really pulled me out of a cycle of obsessive thoughts so well that I was able to come off it after 6 months. I wouldn't hesitate to go on it again if I felt I needed it.

Thank you both.
The thing is , i am not currently actually depressed.
I do know that in about a months time i might be if the same pattern/s occur.
Ive got a light box but nothing works as good a fluxotine.
I just feel a better version of myself on it. .Always.

Yes me
.I get SAD v.bad by middle of winter and after struggling through last winter, I thought I'd try fluoxine again.
Its prescribed for this as its something to with serotonin. Taking them I feel well normal. No need for a light box,no wanting to get home before it's dark, the fog and heaviness in my mind and body has lifted ,no looking and feeling sooo tired when in fact I ve had a good night sleep, carb cravings almost gone,no feeling weepy etc. Allows me to function in my normal way
Its actually amazing that I feel so much better after less than a week on them. I know after 30 years of suffering from. this that my symptoms all but go some time in Jan,so I will be taking them.for 3 months.
