Ocd Clomipramine

Hi ok need honest opinions. Just seen psychiatrist for Ocd. CBT does not help. Tried fluoxetine, citalapram, escotalapram, venaflaxine. Psychiatrist said it’s either sertraline or clomipramine. Sertraline I am petrified of as have severe health anxiety and a remote side effect is growths and I worry about cancer. But clompramine scares me because of horrendous side effects! Help!

My dd started sertraline 8 weeks ago for ocd. It’s been a game changer! Already her compulsions have reduced by 50%. A few side effects at the start, headache, nausea, drowsy, sore mouth, dizziness . She persevered though and after 3 or 4 weeks all the side were gone and she is feeling great now and says life has never been so good.
im keeping the fingers crossed cos it’s early days but I’m very hopeful.

My daughter was on setraline for ocd for some time. It worked pretty quickly. She was initially prescribed aged 15. Her dose was eventually tapered to nil. Her ocd as it was has not returned to date nearly three years later. No side effects apart from a few headaches. I sure you can beat this op. Sending you positive vibes.
