To ask for your help in what to do?

I currently have paramedics at my house as I'm in a mental health crisis. They are in their van outside doing paperwork at the moment. They are trying to get me to go to A&E but I'm too scared to sit there alone all day. I'm also too scared to be in the house alone all day. I have a young child to collect from childcare at 4.30 today, I've had absolutely no sleep last night. My partner is aware of the crisis I'm in and has gone to work saying "hope you get the help you need". He sounded annoyed when I said if they admit me I'll have to call you to collect our dc. He's not back til 9pm.

Can anyone help me? I'm sitting here lost staring into space.

Will they be able to give me medication to help me sleep?

I think you should go with the paramedics

I mostly just need sleep. If they can give me something to help me sleep I will be ok.

I didn't go with them. I'm sitting by myself trying to list reasons to stay alive. So far I've got that I will miss my baby's giggle. I need to hear that again.

It helped me to look at photos and videos of my child, also look back at travels, holidays, events etc.

Hello OP, we are really sorry to hear you are feeling this way.

We hope you don't mind, but when these threads are flagged up to us we usually add a link to our Mental Health resources.

You can also go to the Samaritans website, or email them on [email protected]

Support from other Mumsnetters is great and we really hope you will be able to take some comfort from your fellow posters, but as other MNers will tell you, it's really a good idea to seek - and accept - RL help and support as well.

We also like to remind everyone that, although we're awed daily by the astonishing support our members give each other through life's trickier twists and turns, we'd always caution anyone never to give more of themselves to another poster, emotionally or financially, than they can afford to spare.

Thanks everyone.
