I went to see my gynaecologist today, he's at a bit of a loss at what to do with me. I had the mirena coil fitted about a year ago and although the bleeding is lighter it's really irregular and doing my head in (I'm currently on day 40, a couple of months ago I was bleeding every 21 days 🥴). I suffer from PMDD and I feel VERY low when I'm ovulating. I have tried to take Citalopram when I'm feeling down but I don't like the side effects of it so I try not to take it.
Today I had an ultrasound because I was worried about how bloated my tummy is but everything is fine. So now he's prescribed me Microgynon and I can take it continuously so no more bleeding but has anyone else had both the coil and the Pill at the same time?! Seems a bit mad so I'm worried I'm going to be depressed, bloated and put on weight 🙈 tell me it will be ok 😩
