Does anxiety get worse as you get older?

Really struggling today; just can't seem to shift it. 😥 On meds, had 1:1 CBT, just getting worse and worse. GP won't increase meds (I don't like being on them anyway), but I'm just getting worse every day. Over 3 years of major anxiety now, so, so drained from it all.

Peri-menopause can cause massive anxiety problems, and ad's often don't work.

Looking at my DF I’d say yes. He seems to have started with it as he’s got older. Lockdown didn’t help.

I'm 46, but my doc won't listen to me thinking it's hormonal. I'm so fed up of it.

I’d suggest you print off the NICE guidelines for HRT and try that.
