Mental health support after child in hospital

I don't really know where to go, my child had a planned operation a few months ago, it didn't go to plan and he had a second operation, bad reactions to medications and just a horrible time. Now he's home but it hasn't been easy or as simple as expected. Now I'm really struggling with it, every bit of joy could he snatched away so quickly, everything seems pointless. Where do I go for help? Is there support groups for parents in this situation?

Start with your GP? There might not be a specific action or pathway for people with exactly your story, but addressing any depression, grief, loss or trauma you might have suffered will be coming to many people.
Talking and tablets are a great combo.

Whatever your child's condition is, there's highly likely a support group for parents and families for children with the same condition. I'd expect there's at least one charity and one or more Facebook groups associated with the same condition where you can share and be understood by others in your situation.
I promise you, you are not alone and, while there is likely some form of support & medication your GP can offer, there's nothing like someone walking the same path as you for some decent support x
