Hi mums.

I have severe health anxiety and am having my second panic attack of the day. I have already taken an Ativan and it doesn’t seem to be helping. I have even called the doctor.

while driving I felt a bulge/throb/muscle spasm in my right temple. I 🤔 think. I can’t even be sure since I was concentrating on driving.

I have been so anxious about my head the past 3 months and am terrified this is something bad.

I had a clear CT scan that was normal on Friday. But I still can’t seem to get over the sensations.

I really get where you're coming from about both health anxiety, and panic attacks (not that it was the former that caused the latter - was just blessed with both afflictions).

Have you tried listening to binaural beats when you start to feel panicy? They really worked for me when I used to get regular attacks. There's loads on YouTube, Spotify etc. It might sound a bit "out there" but there is some science behind it. Eventually I managed to train myself out of the attacks with mindful meditation which taught me how to "ride the wave" of a panic attack, which in turn made them lessen and eventually disappear.

CBT really helped me with the health anxiety, although I have noticed it creeping back recently so will probably have to revisit that.

Big hugs, they're both nasty things to deal with 💐

I will look into it!!

I am currently doing CBT as well and taking medication recently the past 2 weeks which I think is causing the extra anxiety as of now.

thank you ❤️
