My stepfather is subject to a Deprivation of Liberty order and is in a Care home. He’s basically being forced to remain there legally, as decided by a Doctor. So how come he now has to pay for the pleasure himself?
If someone is detained in a secure NHS hospital under the Mental Health Act, they’re not charged. Someone please explain why this is different!
