Hi
I have posted on here a few times . I really struggle with health anxiety but this is the worst I have ever been . I am constantly scanning my body and my children and had numerous panic this last 6 months .
I previously was on citalopram but came off it a year ago . My gp and a psychiatrist I have access too via work both think I need to try escitalopram now . I am also doing cbt but not seeing any benefits
I really struggled going on citalopram and really really anxious to start the new tablets but know I really have too .

problem is when . I am due to go away on 28th July for a week to see family . Do you think I should start now or wait till I back . So worried I will be way worse and won’t cope with my time away. My gp says start now and side effects only a few days but I know from past experience it was more than that over 2-3 weeks at least .

Any help or anyone on escitalopram that can give positive results. I really don’t need to hear bad stories

My friend has it after not getting on with citalopram. He loves it and never wants to come off it. I persuaded my GP to give it to me as well and got on really well with it. I did put on a lot of weight with it though.

It's expensive do GP's are reluctant to prescribe it, but sounds like your GP is good.
