I'm struggling with crippling health anxiety, and I'm looking for some free resources that may be able to help me.
Any one that could help point me in the right direction would be really helpful
Thank you

There are some links on here
www.nhs.uk/mental-health/feelings-symptoms-behaviours/feelings-and-symptoms/anxiety-fear-panic/

You can self refer for cbt
www.nhs.uk/mental-health/talking-therapies-medicine-treatments/talking-therapies-and-counselling/nhs-talking-therapies/

if you speak to the GP they could help with signposting you to further help or prescribing medication. In times of real panic I take propranolol with stops the racing heat, elephant on the chest feeling and makes things feel more manageable.

Simple habit is a free meditation app, you can pay to get extra meditations but this is very calming

If you feel really panicked this is excellent to calm you. It reduces heart rate and calms the mind, lowers BP and leaves you feeling calmer

Read up & look into vagus nerve, the role, trauma, stress etc plays on the body, simple exercises like these are incredibly helpful very effective, immediate results, resets nervous system.

My favourite is this one, when I’m spiralling, very quick results,

When I say exercise I don’t mean exert yourself, jog around the block type exercise, the last video is a case of hands behind you head while in a seated position, looking to your left & right, couple of minutes, instant results, game changer for me.

Not entirely free but available in libraries on the Books on Prescription scheme. Books in the ‘Overcoming’ series are CBT based which is the best evidence based approach for treating anxiety in all its forms.
