What do you do of an evening time?

Was wondering what other people do of an evening time when their kids have gone to bed? In a habit of eating and watching TV to decompress but need to change this.

Watch tv. Go on mumsnet. Try and go for a walk round the block .

A nice soak in the bath, read a few chapters of my book, play candy crush/wordle, bit of MN, potter around at my own leisure getting a few chores done & my guilty pleasure Love Island 🤗

Swim, yoga online, read, write essays (studying msc), see, knit, garden, watch tv, bake, call friends, do crosswords, watch sport, see friends.

I muck around on the internet, read and do jigsaw puzzles as they help me relax and improve my mental health.

how do you get the energy?! I’m exhausted after dinner and watch tv, but it’s so dull and a waste

I'd like to know too?!

I know I feel better if I do something, so although it can be a push to do beforehand I try not to overthink it.

ie if I’m swimming I have the bag by the door and do the washing up then leave immediately, I don’t sit down first. Or I plan to call a friend and then bake just beforehand so I’m talking to them whilst it’s in the oven.

So much is knowing the snowball effect, once I start doing something I’ll feel better and want to do more. If I sit down and don’t do anything then I know I won’t change!
