Looking for some advice/reassurance.
I had a c section on Friday, all went well.
Was supposed to go home yesterday but had to stay in as baby unfortunately needed a blood test and not passed enough urine.
Husband had to go home after blood results to look after 2 yr old, said he felt tired but LFT was negative. Sent me a message this morning to say LFT was now faintly positive so he couldn’t come in.
I’m currently negative (pcr at hospital) but am terrified of new baby catching it or myself being ill and unable too look after anyone.
still in hospital as baby needs reviews.
I feel so stressed, I can barely think. I’ve been terrified of catching covid and feel like this is possibly the worst time to have it.

Hopefully your husband will have mild symptoms- many people will even if unvaccinated. Then he will still be able to look after your toddler and you when you get home.

Your 2 year old is unlikely to be affected and your baby will be protected by any vaccinations you have had or any infection you might develop if you are breastfeeding.

I really hope your baby reviews will bring you good news soon.
