My emotional resilience has run out - what to do?

Just that really. I think I've run out.

When I look at things individually they look ok but I just feel teary quite often or anxious tight in my heart.
How do I get some resilience back?

Rest. That doesn't just mean sleep although that is important too. I mean things like reading a book, having a walk, gardening or baking.

Talk to someone you trust. Not to give you advice but just to offload your worries.

Remind yourself that you have survived every difficult day you've ever had. Even though you are emotionally exhausted you can and will cope with life's challenges.

Hope this helps. These are things which I do when my emotional tank is running dry.

I know exactly what you mean! After decade of stresses involving DC mental health problems, which are to an extent on going, a number of good friends passing away before their time, and often significant work stress, and now the usual travails of aging parents, dementia etc, I feel I've run out of motivation. Just feel that life is a series of crap things interspersed with not much. Everyone relies on me for emotional support and I'm running out.
