I was in a abusive relationship for years which I have left. We have children. I have reached out for support from mind for ptsd etc. They have said they want to get social services involved which does not make sense. The children are safe I just want to become stronger within myself. Why is it whenever you reach out for help parents feel like they can't because they bring your children into it. Surely this will make parents feel like they can't be open with them.

Mind we’re appalling when I contacted them, I never went back.

you can self refer for talking therapies, they won’t get SS involved when you have removed yourself and your children from the situation. the GP can also refer you if need be and won’t jump to involve SS. I hope you manage to find some help and things improve for you Flowers
