Anyone on Sertraline? How have you found it? I've been on it since July 2021 and am on 100mg. I've recently been starting to feel the same as I was before I even started them. I'm on a wait list for therapy and it's been almost 5 months. Unfortunately, I'm expecting to be waiting a lot longer too. I've tried getting in touch with different places but all have long wait lists. I have an appt with my GP, but that's not until 6th June. Don't know whether to ask him if he'll increase my dose or try something else....

I was only on it 4 weeks and had to come off due to weird bruising (see my post on the subject). It did make me feel a bit better but not dramatically but I now cannot take it or any other ssri. Starting CBT soon. Must be a postcode lottery as I was only on waiting list 6 weeks. Given you've been on it since last year, I wouldn't worry about the rare side effect I experienced so maybe increasing dose is way to go for you.

Definitely speak to your GP.

I was on the starting dose of 50mg for 6months and that worked for me. Maybe you need a higher dose or a different type?

Call ur go and ask them for a call back as to up ur dose or stop that way u’ll know what ur plan is for the 6th

P.s im on 100mg to and after an experience with a horrible dentist for an absess it triggered all my anxiety to come back ive im on day 6 of increase to 125mg as i cant even get a phone appt with a doc until end of may don’t take my advice but ive been round this block a few times and know the drill hoping the extra 25 is enough to knock my anxiety back into submission

My husband is on 75mg and has been for about a year so far for anxiety, which they seem to be working well for this now. The doctor advised, before he started on them, that sexual side effects are often seen, especially in men, and these usually return to normal when off the medication.

His drive has gone down a bit, sex is still fine but he just doesn't get any urge to masturbate and rarely ejaculates now.

Hi, I've been on 50mg of Sertraline since February. I have health anxiety and from about 6 weeks after starting I felt much better than I was. But, I've definitely noticed blips where I can't think of anything other than being ill or too ill to look after my kids, and they're always worse around ovulation and the week leading up to my period.
I was due to have my first CBT session via video link but right before I should've logged on I had a massive panic attack and just couldn't do it 🙄 I know, I'm ridiculous.

I think the maximum dose is 200mg so you definitely have room to increase. Hope you get sorted
