Hi everyone,

My name is Jayne O’Brien, I am a doctoral student at the University of Manchester. I am carrying out a study exploring women’s experiences of psychological therapy within perinatal community mental health teams.

I am looking to recruit women in the North West of England who have received psychological therapy during pregnancy and/or after the baby is born. The study will involve meeting with me to talk about your experiences of the psychological therapy you received (by phone / Zoom / in person). As a token of appreciation for your time, you will be reimbursed £10 for taking part in the interview.

We are looking for women who meet all of the following criteria:

  • Women aged 18 or over.
  • Speak English.
  • Received psychological therapy from one of the perinatal community mental health teams across Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust or Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust (previously known as North West Boroughs NHS Trust) for any mental health difficulties during pregnancy and/or after the baby is born.
  • You must have attended a minimum of 4 psychological therapy sessions in the last 12 months.
For more information or if you would like to take part in the study, please read the leaflet attached to this post, and contact me on 07355 063847 or [email protected]. Thank you for taking the time to consider participating in our study.

Best wishes

Apologies - the quality of the leaflet image attached above isn't great. Hopefully the image below comes out better.

Thanks again,
