Has anyone had success with vortioxetine for ptsd / depression / anxiety ?

Doctor has suggested it after a few failed attempts with ssri's and snris that made everything much worse.

Wondering if its an 'activating' med? I need something calming!

I’ve been on them for about a week now and feeling rather dizzy and struggle sleeping but I’m told these will ease off in the next week. Finding it difficult to find ones in the same boat

I tried this but couldn’t get on with it which was a shame because I’d heard really good things. Unfortunately it made me violently sick within 30 mins of taking it.

@Jmarie22 hope the side effects wear off for you. Do they make you feel wired / energised? That's my fear. Everything makes me so much more aggitated.

@Pinkandpurplehairedlady sorry to hear this. That sounds awful. Did you have to give it up straight away?

Not energised at all really very tired if anything although I have noticed I’m starting to feel a want to be more active. I would say at night though my brain does feel like it’s going 100mph but that might just be me !

I stuck it out for 2 weeks but ultimately had to stop. I’m on mitazipan now which seems to work for me.

I lasted about two weeks on it and had to stop due to constant nausea and vomiting. As soon as I stopped the nausea and vomiting stopped.
However each person responds differently and I know people who have found it amazing.
I was taking it with other medication for bipolar so it may be different if you are not taking other meds.
