I’ve been scared of vomiting since I remember, now I’ve got a baby that goes to nursery my phobia has increased massively..every time anyone says they are Ill or feel sick, I get all sweaty and ask them million questions about it. My baby has a poorly tummy at the moment too and I just constantly worry that I will catch some kind of norovirus either of her or anyone that I’m in contact with. Does anyone knows any mediation for treating nausea and vomiting that I could take in case of catching a virus? I do obviously know that I should be treating the core of the problem and probably go to a therapy but It’s a quite expensive thing to do (unless I could see someone through NHS?). Any help appropriated 🥺

Exposure. Now you’re a parent you don’t have a choice but to deal with it and whilst it will still be awful and you will still panic and get in a state, you will find ways to cope.

Probably not the answer you want to hear but I grew up saying I would never have kids because I didn’t want to deal with morning sickness. Cut to last week when my eldest had a big and I calmly held the bowl for him I couldn’t believe it. I was a mess inside but I’ve learned to keep bowls and towels dotted around the house in case of emergencies, and not to show fear in front of the children. I still stay awake all night sweating and panicking and not eating for 48 hours but I cope much better than I used to and you will to.

Apparently antihistamine is very good for nausea or you can wear those wrist bands

My dd has emet and she has therapy and it's helped a lot so I feel for you

You can do this. 💐
