Just been prescribed this by psychiatrist for ongoing aggitated depression and anxiety (started as pnd). I don't get on with ssri's and venlafaxine. Terrified to take it as I read it can leave you very dopey and drugged up feeling. Worried as its a heavy old fashioned drug. I asked for valdoxan but psych says she prefers this. Any good experiences of it?

I was on it for years. I thought it was great- definitely the best one I have been on. It didn't make me drugged up at all. I think if you are an agitated type then it just brings you to “normal” IYSWIM. I did a full time degree, worked, cycled everywhere and had a very active social life on it.

@dangermouseisace day 1 and I feel like hell. Took the lofepramine last night. Woke up super early. Feeling heavy but aggitsted. Stayed in bed crying for hours. Husbands looking after the kids. Psych says to persevere. Is this normal? Feel a thousand times worse. Anyone else had this reaction to begin with? I suffer from a very aggitsted depression and can't actually face feeling any more aggitated! 😭 Really bad thoughts today.
