I reluctantly started citalopram and am on week 3 and 2 days. I know it can be normal for it to make you feel more anxious before it makes you feel better. Is it still normal at this point to feel more anxious or is it time to give up?

Watching with interest as I just started Sertraline and feel MUCH worse. I'm only on day 4 though. I'd like to think that by week 3 I'd be feeling better so this is a bit worrying. I took Citalopram years ago and recall I started feeling better fairly quickly.

Overall I do feel better and did very quickly. I took diazepam before bed last night too, so extra disappointed to feel wound up this morning.

Hi I've been on Citalopran for a few years now, not because of menopause symptoms just general anxiety.. I have found them really good for depression but have now got beta blockers also because of anxiety, caused by hormones I think. It's always worth speaking to your Doctor if you've just started them for reassurance.

Wanted to update in case someone finds this in future. After a couple of jittery days, I think things have settled down and the ADs are now helping with the anxiety. I'll see how it goes but I feel optimistic about it.

Thanks for updating. I'm on day 10 of Sertraline and definitely starting to feel better now so goid to know worth persevering.

I'm glad you're starting to feel better too. Here's to better days ahead. :-)
