Sertraline and Pregnancy

Hi there - I am hoping to start a family soon, this will be my first, but I am extremely nervous and hesitant as I take sertraline and I have done for around 5 years. I am unable to come off the medication, and I have spoken to my doctor who said it would be best to continue taking it, but I am so worried about the effects this could have on the baby. Does anyone have any experiences taking sertraline whilst pregnant, and are willing to share their journey? Thank you!

I was on the max dose before, throughout and after pregnancy. It is one of the preferred medications in pregnancy and my psych, the perinatal mental health team, my midwife and my obstetrician were all very happy for me to keep taking it. No issues at all during pregnancy or with the birth.

Thank you, that's really comforting to know.
