Hi

Really struggling today with depression, feel like there is no joy in my life.

I've been on antidepressants for 4 years, they used to work really well. However, since menopause it's as if they have stopped working. Has anyone else experienced this?

Have you considered HRT?

Did you try Utrogestan vaginally? I was really worried about the progesterone, but this has worked for me.

Yes @SparklingLime done that, tried it vaginally made depression worse.

Tried a combined hrt low dose tablet too, also made me worse.

Oh god, that’s really difficult. Have you discussed this all on the menopause board? There’s some very knowledgeable women over there.

Hi @SparklingLime yes I've mentioned it over there before I didn't get any help.

Wondering if I should take more antidepressants.

Did you see a private doctor before? Just wondering if there is specialist advice on ADs for menopause. There must be somewhere.
