I've been prescribed sertraline for anxiety.
The leaflet says avoid alcohol...
Is this because it won't be effective? Or another reason?
I don't want to start taking it if can't drink as have a hen weekend next week. Having less anxiety would be an added bonus but don't want to be passing out in the restaurant! Any experience of the two??

It can make you feel a bit weird for a couple of weeks so I'd avoid it while it settles in at least

I drank on it no bother, and it worked wonders on my anxiety

Had 4/5 days of being horrendous - panic attacks, dizzy, loose bowels then it was like a cloud lifted. So I’d just bear in mind that the first few days can be rough x
