Sertraline - upping dosage

Hi all,
I’ve been on sertraline 50mg since September and they really have worked wonders for me. I didn’t have any of the side effects when I started apart from I can’t cry and I have a very limited/zero sex drive but both willing to take if it meant feeling better.
I’ve been great until the last few days. I had covid and my anxiety peaked with a vengeance. Back to having to appetite whatsoever, can’t even force myself to eat and I have constant diarrhoea (no idea how since I’m not eating) Can’t concentrate on anything, my phone, books, tv - just constantly in my own head.
I also stared my period yesterday so as you can imagine that’s not helped either.
I upped my sertraline dosage today to 100mg - has this helped anyone in the same situation as me? How long did it take you to feel a difference?
Thanks in advance, hearing from other people really helped me last time.
