Online therapists?

I've recently realised I need to talk to a professional to help deal with some real challenges I've recently been facing.

Between an ill husband and two children I haven't much time to sit down anywhere.

Has anyone had any luck with online psychiatrists/therapists?

My counsellor and I did online therapy during the last lockdown and although it wasn't as good as face to face, it did still have value.

It's worth trying imo.

Sorry to hear that, I know it can be hard, but you will get through this. I've used BetterHelp and it was okay, it got me through a rough patch. I did end up having to cancel though and am now looking into more local psychologists that offer virtual or phone appointments.

I've done a couple online before when I lived in the US, and even though it wasn't as good as in person, it was still beneficial. The convenience can sometimes mean the difference between getting help and putting it off, something to keep in mind.

Me and mine have our sessions on Zoom- because of lockdown initially but now neither of us want to go back to face to face Grin

In my experience most therapists are still doing on line, which I think is really crap.

It's each to their own though, isn't it? I personally like having not having to spend time travelling to meet mine. Much happier just sat on my bed with my laptop.
