From time to time I occasionally miss taking a dose of sertraline. Sometimes I genuinely forget and other times I might be having a drink. I find if I take alcohol on top of the tablet I have the worst hangover ever. So all in all I take around 9 tabs over 10 days.
The day after I miss a pill its like my head goes crazy. My thoughts are horrible and my mood is so angry. It's like the tranquility is gone. It can take 4-5 days again before my head settles and I feel calm.
Is this the same for others? It's scarey for me to feel I'm so dependant.

I take 50mg for anxiety and have missed 2 in 9 months, both times I could feel my levels creeping up and felt "uneasy" for a day or so afterwards.

Taking a regular dose keeps you level, missing one can knock you off until it stabilises again.

I haven't drank on them after a scary black out 3 weeks in to my treatment!

I'm On 200mg but I do always take them last thing at night. The longest I went was three days without when I ran out and I felt so horrible, weird head buzzes and stuff. You might feel worse after drinking because alcohol is a depressant so works against the medication and always makes me feel so anxious the next day anyway Flowers have you been on them long? do you think you could speak to your doctor and change meds? I had to swap from citalopram to Sertraline concurrently.
