Anxiety and tension headaches

Does anyone have daily tension headaches? Do you think anxiety might contribute to them? I am seeing the GP Monday of course, but have been dealing with daily tension headaches the last couple of months. My neck also has tension. It is usually barely noticeable, unless I am thinking like hmm is my headache still there? Sometimes I can not tell and wonder if it is in my head...but then other times I can def feel it and its like pressure in my head or feels like I have a tight hat on. Of course with my health anxiety I am terrified of the worst. But from looking online, I notice a lot of people with anxiety seem to suffer from them. I also get crappy sleep every night (thanks to my 3 kids and a dog, plus london noises). I get woken up at least 3 times a night and then takes me time to sleep again. I am beyond frustrated.

OP did you manage to get rid of these tension headaches? I feel like I’m going through the same atm!

Yes! I saw the GP and she thought they were anxiety related. Once I had the assurance it got better. I literally had the tension headache daily for like two months. I also took some vitamins to make sure I wasn’t deficient (only took a few days). Improved my sleep, got a different pillow. I still get a headache once a month at the start of my period. But thankfully not daily anymore! Massage can also help. What have you tried?

Aw amazing I’m glad yours have got better!
not too much yet, I’ve always suffered migraines tbh when I was younger I would have them almost daily then they stopped. And would have them on and off every few months or around periods and pregnancy. But I think these tension headaches are just anxiety related and are horrible! I’m going to try a multivitamin too and some exercise and yoga and see if they stop hopefully!

Try also a pillow change. Let me look up the one I got. I noticed an improvement after. But the most was when I let go and stopped worrying so much.
