We all want what’s best for our children. In fact, I would go to the extent of saying that Mother Nature has created us with that mindset. All creatures, including humans, birds and animals, get something called a Nesting Instinct when we become mothers. I believe that developing OCD is part of that, part of wanting to do what’s best and provide what’s best for our kids. However, for some people it can be more intense.
Having said that, I would also emphasise on the fact the babies are more resilient than what we give them credit for. Although BF is good, it’s not something that’s indispensable. And feeling guilty over not doing it will do no good to your new born.
Perhaps you could try to supplement your baby’s diet with foods that provide the right benefits including boosting immunity and building healthy bones.
Also, some bacteria and germs are good for babies, to help them build their immunity through exposure. I am not saying, keep them in filthy environment, but don’t fret over excessive cleanliness either. The key is to have a balanced approach.
If you are happy, your baby will catch on those vibes and be happy as well.
I didn’t mean this post to be a lecture, but I genuinely wanted to help you 😊
