Rats in loft

RATS….

Hi guys… I found out today we have rats in our loft 😢😢😢 not going to cope well with this! Plus it’s just me and my daughter I’m a single mum so no men around lol. It’s driving me insane!
Originally pest patrol thought it was a squirrel but on inspection today it’s been confirmed that it’s rats, I can’t sleep, relax, settle I’m like a nervous wreck!
Has anyone else had this and was it easy to deal with? The noise is horrendous! Haven’t slept properly in over a week!

You don't need a man you need poison and snap traps up there.

They usually come in from the sewer, through unsealed pipes etc then make their way up through cavity walls to the loft. Finding out how they're getting in is the tricky part.

Sorry to jump on this thread a bit late but did you get anywhere with your rat problem OP? Any tips? I think we may have rats in our loft too. My DH is away with work for a few weeks so just me and 2 young kids in the house and I'm freaking out. The noise is unbearable here too. I've got a pest control person calling me back tomorrow so I'm hoping they can get here quick...!
