Anxiety attacks at work

I am in a new job at an old employer. An incompetent manager has told everyone to pass their work to me which most haven’t but 2 lazy colleagues are dumping their work onto me. The past 2 days I have cried at work due to the stress of keep speaking up but still having the same problems.

I was upset in front of the supervisor today, she was horrified. The supervisor has been kind and supportive and agreed it’s not acceptable for them to be going behind her back giving me work and overwhelming me. These people just think I am going to do their work so they can go on the personal mobile phones instead which I see them do a lot at work.

I can’t believe I am having anxiety attacks at work. I even said I don’t understand as the people who are causing me hassle I have known the longest and yet won’t support me in my new role.

The role could be good but with these people doing this it’s messing up my mental health.

I know it’s not easy but you need to stand up to these people giving you their work. It’s good your supervisor knows, hopefully she’ll tell them to stop, if not you need to clearly and just say no and give them the work back as you have your own work to do.
