Healthy Minds

CMHT referred me to Healthy Minds, I finally worked myself up to calling and arranging and appointment for the 22nd Dec, they said it'll be 45-60 minute telephone consultation. Has anyone used Healthy Minds before and can advise on how they found it worked for them please. I'm really nervous about it. Thanks

I've used healthy minds. I had a 1hr ish phone call, they asked me what I was struggling with, listened to me talk about my history / upbringing. She did ask me some probing questions and put some names to things I didn't realise I was doing such as dissociation. I had to fill out a form which is a set of sliding scale questions. She then called me back a week later and we had another phonecall of similar length and referred me for therapy which I am still waiting for.

@10littledinosaurs same experience. I'm still waiting 3 years later. They never did return my call. I gave up and went private with a therapist who offered to see me for a lower rate as I'm very low income. Don't know what I'd have done without him tbh.

I'm bipolar and has a huge trauma this year and self referred to them over advice from my psychiatrist. I've had tremendous success in the past with psychotherapy so was really hopefully our would help. Waited two weeks for a consult, spent an hour giving them an incredibly comprehensive navigation around everything and they said I would hear as sun as they have a slot for me. That was 4 months ago. I don't hold out any hope tbh. I've started being much more pro active and doing lots of mindfulness. Sucks balls being suicidal and repeatedly being told to self refer for a service that takes years to get through to an actual service provider.
