Recommendation online private psychiatrist

I'm beginning to suspect that I have symptoms of ADHD, I also have 'mild' features of personality disorder, bipolar, and PTSD.

Generally I can function reasonably well so I don't need any urgent interventions or medication, but would like to understand myself better. I also have to work hard to manage myself to live a 'normal' but busy family life and high pressure job.

I would like a private assessment and can afford to do this, can anyone recommend a private psychiatrist as I'm just googling at the moment but would prefer a recommendation.

Whereabouts are you?

Arcadia · 03/12/2021 12:06

@ArseInTheCoOpWindow I'll DM you my location but I'm happy to do it online so theoretically can be anywhere.

I'm interested in this also- there are a lot of places that advertise this but a personal recommendation would be helpful for choosing among them.

@ArseInTheCoOpWindow can't send message ATM but I'm South East (don't want to say exactly) but would rather do online anyway

Look up the nightingale hospital in London, they also have online therapists

Psychiatrist isn't what you need if you want to understand yourself better. Psychiatrists are medical doctors who specialise in mental health.

They deal mostly with medication, they don't do counselling or therapy.

What you are describing is a psychologist or psychotherapist.

I used Clinical Partners. Really helpful.
